A Complete Web Single Sign-On for Microsoft® Windows Server™ Active Directory Environments

Version3 Simple Sign-On is one of the most comprehensive suites of single sign-on solutions on the market today. Version3 SSO is an identity management solution based on Active Directory, which gives users seamless and secure access to run their Microsoft® Windows® and Microsoft SharePoint Product and Technologies applications without compromising security by having to remember or separately track their user IDs and passwords.

Version3 Simple Sign-On Web Edition provides a complete identity management solution for both Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server (SPS) and Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) as well as supported non-SharePoint portal products.

Browser based ESSO
Version3 Simple Sign-On Web Edition totally incorporates into supported portal technologies to provide a true cost-effective browser based Single Sign-On solution. By storing user and application logon credentials in Microsoft's Active Directory, users simply log into the portal site one time using their Active Directory account and all other application authentication requirements are managed by Simple Sign-On. Simple Sign-On's web-components and web-parts are seen as a start menu style application menu system that presents applications to users in a very simple manner.

Simultaneous Internet and Intranet Access
Intranet web-based applications that are currently published by supported portals can be centrally authenticated through the use of Simple Sign-On, which eliminates the need for a user to enter additional application logon names and passwords.
Internet based applications can also be published by the portal, and a users logon credentials are managed as well. Users simply launch a portal provided website, and Simple Sign-On manages the process and eliminates the need to enter additional credentials for the published site.

SharePoint Interfaces and Web Parts
Simple Sign-On supports both SharePoint Portal Server (SPS) and Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) products to automate the launch processes of web based applications for single sign-on support. Simple Sign-On adds application access management components to WSS and replaces the SPS SSO with an API that is a compatible, secure, and distributed solution.
Through the use of thin client technology (terminal services and Citrix), users can utilize SharePoint to launch any standard windows based applications. The thin client logon credentials can be managed by Simple Sign-On, as well as applications launched within the thin client session.
